1. Introduction

STR Optimizer ("we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your data when you use the STR Optimizer Chrome Extension ("the Extension"). We have designed this extension with a privacy-first architecture: the vast majority of your data never leaves your device.

2. Data We Do Not Collect & Zero-Sale Guarantee

We do not operate central databases to harvest or monitor your private activity. Specifically, we do not:

• Store, log, or read your platform (Airbnb, VRBO, Booking.com, Houfy) guest messages on our servers.
• Store your property street addresses, banking/financial information, or unencrypted guest identities.
• Track your web browsing history outside of supported Short-Term Rental platform domains.
• Sell, rent, lease, monetize, or trade any of your personal, business, guest, or reservation data to third parties, data brokers, or advertisers.
• Share or broadcast your private incident notes, tags, or workspace rules to other hosts or outside accounts.

3. Data Processing, Authorized Sessions & Third-Party APIs

STR Optimizer operates strictly as a client-side assistive tool. It only processes information that is already publicly visible on supported hosting channels or made accessible within your own authorized, authenticated host browser session. Contextual data is processed as follows:

• Secure Edge Proxy: Data transmissions pass through our secure proxy infrastructure strictly as a transient router. It does not retain, store, or log your payload contents.
• AI Generative Processing: Extracted text prompts are sent to enterprise generative AI endpoints solely to return your immediate request. Your data is not used by upstream model providers to train public models.
• Zero Remote Storage: We do not operate external database servers that store your private hosting data, unencrypted communications, or API keys.

Your Responsibility (Local Security)

Because your data (including API keys, custom personas, and sync rules) is stored locally in your browser's storage (chrome.storage.local), you remain responsible for maintaining the physical and digital security of your devices. STR Optimizer, TKN Hospitality LLC, and MB Design Studio are not liable for unauthorized access resulting from malware or compromised local environments.

4. Local Device Storage

The Extension utilizes Chrome's native chrome.storage.local API. This means the following data is stored securely and directly on your own computer's hard drive:

• Your custom persona rules and host preferences.
• Your personal API keys (if using the Bring Your Own Key feature).
• Extracted "Knowledge Base" facts about your tracked properties (e.g., check-in times, amenities).
• Your active STR Optimizer License Key.

If you uninstall the extension, this local data is automatically deleted by your browser.

5. Payment Processing

If you upgrade to our PRO or BIZ tier, your payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not process, capture, or store your credit card information. We only receive a secure webhook from Stripe containing your license key status and subscription tier.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be published on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
